and I am really not amused.
I ususally love to shop
all day; nonstop.
But this time I have to choose the perfect one
I can't just pick one and be done.
I am having a really hard time
I really want it to be red and not lime.
I have gone to two malls just looking for it.
I have found one, but it doesnt fit.
I put it down and pick up a different one.
Maybe this could be the one.
I rush to the fitting room right away.
It is purple, but it fits. Yay!
I look into the mirror and I am in shock
It is not the color I wanted, but it is perfect. I buy it and walk.
This is a very relieving poem for me to read. I'm glad you finally have a dress. It's fantastic seeing the process it took you for finding this gorgeous royal purple dress; lime and red and all sorts of dresses to get to the right one. Sounds like a nightmare, but I'm positive that you look AMAZING in this one and you'll make the color work. I like the short ending, that staccato syntax contributed to the tone of finality at the end of your poem.
ReplyDeleteYour dress is so pretty the purple color is going to look great on you! I don't think many girls enjoyed shopping for a prom dress, but it's all over and now we get to finally wear it :)
ReplyDeleteYour dress is pretty, and it seems that no one is enjoying the process for prom
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you look stunning in your dress and I'm really happy for you that you found one! Prom dress shopping was definitely a hassle, but it's so relieving once you find your dress. It's finally over and all that's left is to look forward to prom!
